About Finicky Fooler

Reiter Outdoor Products is a family owned company located in Central Wisconsin.  The business started when Tom Reiter came up with the idea for the Finicky Fooler Tip-Up while bow hunting in the fall of 2014.  As he sat in his tree stand he was thinking about the upcoming ice fishing season.  He was sick of re-greasing under water tip-ups and especially having to pull fish in by hand.  He thought to himself, "why couldn't there be a device that you set your rod and reel in with the bail open and it trips a flag once a fish strikes".  That thought set in motion the creation of the Finicky Fooler Tip-Up. After much trial and error, and many prototypes later the Finicky Fooler Tip-Up was perfected into the product it is today. With the creation of the Finicky Fooler Tip-Up a few additional items have been added through the years, to provide an even better ice fishing experience.
